Ongoing DR protection occurs in the background and protects the primary VM with scheduled snapshot updates from the primary VM to the DR VM.
When you set up a schedule for the snapshots to occur, be aware that snapshots occur twice during that time period: once at the beginning, and once at the halfway point. For example, if you schedule snapshots to occur every 60 minutes, the system takes a snapshot in the first minute and then again in 30 minutes. If an update cycle has not completed before the next scheduled update, the system defers the next update.
You also need to set how many snapshots the system should retain, up to a maximum of 12. The volume container must be large enough to hold all of the snapshots.
